The Boat Race 2024 LIVE: Start time, route, crews and schedule as Oxford and Cambridge go head-to-head once more in iconic event

It's that time of the year once again as Cambridge take on Oxford in the 169th Boat Race between the two universities this afternoon.

Cambridge beat their rivals in last year's meeting after Oxford claimed victory in 2022.

2023 was the second year of The Boat Race's return to the Thames after being disrupted by COVID during 2020 and 2021.

But things are back to normal now, and teams consisting of men and women will compete across 4.25 miles on an iconic stretch of the Thames.

2024 Boat Race: When is it?

The Boat Race this year will take place on Saturday, March 30.

The men's race is set to get going at 3:46pm.

The women's is scheduled for an hour before with reserve races sandwiched in the middle.

It will be held on the River Thames, with the Championship Course stretching just over four miles from Putney to Mortlake.

2024 Boat Race: TV channel and live stream

All four races will be shown on BBC One.

Their coverage is set to start at 2pm, and they will be on-air until 4:30pm.
